Emergency Preparedness Month

Pipeline safety is no accident

Understanding how to respond to a pipeline emergency can be critical to your safety.

If you’re visiting this page, Vector pipeline may run near your home or community. We make every effort to operate our lines safely, with safety at the foundation of everything that we do.

Pipeline accidents are rare; however, planning for emergencies and the unexpected is one of the best ways that we can help protect ourselves and our communities. When planning for a pipeline emergency, there are specific actions you can take to make sure you and others are prepared:

  1. Know what to look for
Familiarize yourself with the signs of a pipeline emergency

  2. Know what to do
Understand the do’s and don’ts of reacting in a pipeline emergency

  3. Know who to call
Call 9-1-1 and the pipeline operator. The 24-hour toll-fee emergency number for Vector pipeline is 888-427-7777. Please save the Vector Pipeline emergency number in a safe location for future reference.

National Preparedness Month

Vector Pipeline recognizes September as National Preparedness Month. This is an additional opportunity for us to share important information about pipeline safety and emergency response with those who live and work near our pipelines.
