Public Awareness
Vector Pipeline conducts a public awareness program that provides pipeline safety information to people who live and work along our pipeline route, local officials, emergency responders and excavators. All members of affected communities should know where pipelines are located in their communities, be aware of how to recognize a possible pipeline emergency, what to do in an emergency, and avoid damage to pipelines from excavation.
Vector will work with local communities, planners and developers to provide information about pipeline routes so that encroachments are avoided. You can determine the general location of transmission pipeliens through the National Pipeline Mapping System (NPMS), which is online at npms.phmsa.dot.gov. However, the NPMS should never be used as a substitute for calling 811 and using the proper one-call notification procedures.
If you have questions about the location of Vector Pipeline in relation to you community, home or business, send an email to USpublicawareness@vectorpipeline.com.
