Waste Heat
Two out of five of Vector Pipeline’s compressor stations meet the criteria set out in the INGAA White Paper on Waste Heat Recovery. These criteria are a gas turbine engine of at least 15,000 horsepower and a 60% load factor based on run time hours in the past twelve months.
Vector uses Solar Mars 100’s exclusively (15,000 bhp ISO) with either one or two units at the stations. The compressor stations that meet the criteria are located in Oakland County, Michigan (Highland Compressor Station – two units) and Macomb County, Michigan (Washington Compressor Station – two units).
